This unique partnership between 12 local physicians is aimed at improved patient records reducing paper based records and allowing
data to be accessed from clinics, the hospital and any remote location. In addition to the clinics desktop computers, wireless mobile
tablets allow the doctors to move between exam rooms and stay connected to their records. Additionally speech and handwriting
recognition is being utilized. Initially five locations in Brockville are supported by a multi-tiered support team including the BGH Helpdesk,
Zycom Technology, Nightingale and SSHA.
Brockville Family Health Network - Nightingale Application
Late 2005 and completed early 2006 Zycom Technology implemented five networks in Brockville. This network is comprised of industry leading HP, Toshiba, Philips and Lexmark PC's and printers linked to an HP database server located at and supported by the Brockville General Hospital data center. The patient care application is Nightingale Software which is accessed by the family medical clinics over a secure network provided by SSHA Smart Systems for Health Agency.
