Systems Administrator

• Parameter tuning.
• Availability and fault management.
• Troubleshooting.
• Design backup procedures, system policies, user management
• Set up mail, office environment Windows 2000, NT, Exchange
• Configuration, installation of desktops, servers
• Anti-Virus policies
• FAX Data gateways
• Disaster recovery planning
• Performance tuning in NT and UNIX
• Working with Firewalls and security

• Three year Community College or University Computer Science diploma/certificate (additional computing education or courses would be a definite asset).
• A minimum of three years of experience in a computing centre environment. This includes experience in administering MS-Windows NT servers.
• Strong customer-service orientation.
• Additional consideration will be given to candidates with MS Certification, experience with MS-SQL or Oracle, TCP/IP networking and NT Administration tools.
• Self-starting individuals with demonstrated abilities to understand the complexities of operations systems, databases and applications, and the ability to apply complex analysis techniques within these areas.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, together with a collaborative (team work) approach to solutions developments
