DESCRIPTION:
Territory Development Manager
Principle Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of a sales and marketing plan within a given geographic area or vertical market.
- Develop sales plan for territory or vertical market and identify key customers targets
- Day to day customer account management or new customer development i.e. cold calling
- Develop potential marketing options to drive sales leads within territory
- Leverage companies product lines, resources, partners to drive sales pipeline
- Identify key partnerships within territory or vertical market which leverage business
- Responsible for forecasting business to management and front log growth
- Working with the senior sales team to develop your market
- Meet agreed upon sales targets within a yearly budget
Basic Qualifications:
- Three year Community College or University Computer Science diploma/certificate (additional computing education or courses would be a definite asset). A minimum of three years of experience working in the IT industry with proven sales experience.
- Additional experience from a technical background would be an asset i.e. IT consulting
- Strong customer-service orientation.
- Additional consideration will be given to candidates with product knowledge in the areas of Cisco, Nortel, 3Com, Compaq, IBM and HP.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, together with a collaborative (team work) approach to solutions selling.
- Ability to work independent (possibly from home office) and build your customer base and revenue with an entrepreneur attitude and long term commitment.
