DESCRIPTION:
Federal Government Senior Account Manager
Principle Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of a sales
and marketing plan within the Canadian Federal Government and will be
located in Ottawa.
- Develop sales plan for the federal government market and identify key customers targets
- Day to day customer account management or new customer development i.e. cold calling
- Develop potential marketing options to drive sales leads within the federal government, Leveraging product lines sales for Nortel, Cisco, Compaq, HP or IBM
- Identify key partnerships within this market which leverages business
- Responsible for forecasting business to management and front log growth
- Meet agreed upon sales targets within a yearly budget
Basic Qualifications:
Three year Community College or University Computer Science
diploma/certificate (additional computing education or courses would be a
definite asset). A minimum of 10 years of experience working in the IT
industry with proven sales experience within the federal government.
Additional experience from a technical background would be an asset i.e. IT
consulting
Strong customer-service orientation.
Additional consideration will be given to candidates with product knowledge
in the areas of Cisco, Nortel, 3Com, Compaq, IBM and HP.
Strong written and oral communication skills, together with a collaborative
(team work) approach to solutions selling.
Ability to work independent (possibly from home office) and build your
customer base and revenue with an entrepreneur attitude and long term
commitment.
