April 2005	After a competitive process, the Limestone District School Board has selected Zycom Technology to be the exclusive provider of Local Area Networking equipment for the Board Office and its schools. Zycom won the bid proposing HP ProCurve Network Switches. This follows a project awarded to Zycom in the summer of 2004 for supplying and installing HP ProCurve wireless technology to the School Board office and all secondary schools. The initial phase of the project will include the provision of networking equipment to the Board Office and its secondary schools. ZYCOM Technical Services is certified by IBM, HP, and Lexmark in performing Manufacturers Warranty Service. All technical staff are A Plus Certified as well as Authorized by the Manufacturers to perform Warranty work after comprehensive training and testing with the Manufacturers. Initial area of Coverage is Trenton to Prescott along the 401 corridor with plans to expand the Service into the Ottawa marketplace by early fall. Dispatch Service is located in Kingston and uses the latest technology BOSS Service System providing Technicians the ability to receive, update and close Work Orders while in the field. Approx. 72 schools will gain access to wireless LAN technology all secured through HP's ProCurve Networking Access Control Security Solution. The 740wl and 720wl work together to provide a highly scaleable system for controlling the network edge for wireless users.
