Marketing Coordinator

This challenging, self-starter position is designed for an experienced marketing individual who wants to develop and execute marketing campaigns that will promote Zycom’s competencies and abilities. This person will work with our sales and executive staff to coordinate marketing efforts by geographical region, line-of-business and manufacturer product lines.

We are seeking a marketing coordinator that will help us to:

– increase our market share
– drive lead generation
– increase marketing development fund share and usage
– introduce innovative marketing techniques and ideas


  • Markets products by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns; tracking sales data; developing promotional materials; planning meetings and trade shows; maintaining databases; preparing reports.
  • Implement marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing sales forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations.
  • Interact with sales staff to prepare relevant marketing strategies.
  • Inform sales and executive staff with campaign progress and results.
  • Tracks product line sales and costs by analyzing and entering sales, expense, and new business data.
  • Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
  • Develop and distribute promotional materials to support campaigns.
  • Supports sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, new product information.
  • Researches competitive services by identifying and evaluating service characteristics, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
  • Plans meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.
  • Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.
  • Works with manufacturers to secure appropriate market development funding (MDF) Manages and spends MDF budgets.
  • Develops and maintains social media campaigns, including Twitter, LinkedIn, corporate website.
  • Works to develop on-line sales strategies and tools.
  • Manages and coordinates client based webinars Create and report meaningful metrics to measure sales success based on marketing activities.
  • Create innovative marketing campaigns for specific client verticals.



  • Degree in communications, marketing or commerce.
  • Minimum 3 years overall work experience in a similar type role.


  • Ability to perform structured work from home.
  • Experience in IT Marketing is a definite asset.


The successful candidate will essentially work from home, spending much of their work day at their home office or event sites coordinating activities.
