Toronto & Ottawa – Inside Sales Representative

The individual selected to join the dynamic Zycom inside sales team will be able to seamlessly and comprehensively support multiple outside sales executives across varied markets. Your exceptional dedication to serving the needs of customers, coupled with a relentless drive to become valued goto resources for their customers and peers alike. The successful applicant will be able to learn quickly, the discipline to work from home and has experience in the IT channel including distribution, vendors, purchasing, and channel partner sales.



  • Quoting, Bid management with internal and vendor partners
  • Working in partnership with the Account Executive to manage the best possible outcomes for key clients.
  • Processing PO’s from clients & Ensuring successful handoff to purchasing
  • Maintaining CRM and Client Database
  • Forecasting and tracking renewals for maintenance and contracts
  • Following up with the team on delivery ETA’s and keeping clients updated Constantly updating product knowledge by studying the manufacturer or distribution web sites, researching and participating in educational opportunities, online training tools or partner training events.
  • Obtain and maintain minimum of 5 vendor sales certifications
  • Ability to take a reasonable technical request from the Account Executive or client and self-assess needs
  • Assisting in renewal & coterminous renewal quotes directly to clients in backup to current inside sales team
  • Adding and updating vendor registrations for new opportunities
  • Outbound Opportunity Generation including: Ability to call into new clients and assist in getting the first meeting.
  • Ability to help uncover opportunities through lead follow ups or cold calls and record in key prospect data in CRM.
  • Ability to assist Account Executive team with coordinating and opening doors into new accounts.
  • Local territory onsite event registration
  • Creating WebEx presentations and logistics to engage customers.
  • Ability to assist in general marketing events (lunch and learns, seminars, tradeshows etc.) by driving attendance, networking at events with clients/prospects or following up event for face to face meetings for the Account Executives.



  • College or University degree
  • Sales Certifications in key technology would be an asset DELL EMC, HPE, Cisco, Microsoft, Nutanix, VMware
  • Min. 3 year’s work experience in a similar type role

The successful candidate will essentially work from home, spending much of their work day at their home office and coordinating with customers, outside sales, distribution and service. The work plan, sales targets and overall business development plan will be developed in conjunction with the General Manager or President, who will also be to whom the inside sales representative will report.
